Neil Olson – General Manager
An owner of two small businesses, and veteran executive in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, Olson is entering his third season as part of the Mainers’ directors and first as team general manager.
Olson first started in the NECBL in 2000, when he helped the Lowell (MA) Mill City All-Americans franchise get off the ground.
By far, Olson has a deep fondness for America’s pastime. “I have a deep love for what I consider the greatest game on earth. It is very apparent to me, that other people involved with this team, share that love too” he says.
Neil currently operates Olson’s Furs, Tents and Baseball and is considered one of the most knowledgeable experts of trapping in the Northeast.
The Bethel, ME resident is married to his wife of thirty-four years Linda and is the father of two beautiful girls, Jill and Carrie. In addition, he has three grandsons whom he has said are the major reasons he is involved with the Mainers.
Carol Foster – Business Manager
Carol serves as the Mainers’ day-to-day manager, handling the business side of the non-profit team. Carol was a season-ticket holder during the team’s inaugural season, and became the Business Manager during the 2003 season. Born and raised in the Sanford-Springvale area, Carol also works for two data processing companies located outside the region. She loves the idea of being a part of an organization, which is bringing affordable, family entertainment to York County. Carol’s family is actively involved with the team, and is a major reason she is doing what she does. Her son Colby rarely misses a game (home or away) and is one of the team’s die-hard supporters. When not rooting for the Mainers, Carol cheers on New England’s team, the Boston Red Sox.

Host Families
The NECBL requires that team players be housed with host families because that practice helps to foster a feeling of "belonging", both for the players and for the community.
In Sanford, we can see the value in this philosophy. The host families have certainly "adopted" the players assigned to them. They attend games, home and some away, they participate in events together, they have led the way in forming THE MOOSETERS, the official Mainers boosters club.
The Sanford Mainer's Baseball Team management is most appreciative of the Host Families, as they have made tremendous and very valuable contributions to the success of the Mainers.
