Mainers’ Lehman named NECBL Co-Pitcher of Week
Shares honor with Steeplecats’ Tim Boyce

Sanford. ME- The NECBL has announced that Sanford Mainers starting pitcher Pat Lehman has been named the league’s co-pitcher of the week.

On June 21, and for his second straight start, Lehman took a no-hitter into the eighth inning. Lehman ended his night with eight and a third innings pitched, while allowing just one hit and no runs in picking up his first win of the season.

The George Washington product is off to an incredible start in the 2008 summer. The right-hander is 1-0 in three starts, and has not allowed an earned run in 20 and two-thirds innings pitched. The Fair Lawn, N.J. native has only walked four batters in those three starts and leads the Mainers with 19 strikeouts.

Lehman just finished his junior campaign at George Washington University in Washington D.C. The 6’4, 215 pound righty went 6-5 in the spring with a 5.28 ERA in 17 appearances. A collegiate-rotation mate of fellow Mainer Ryan Lapointe, Lehman was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 41st round of the 2008 MLB draft.
