2008 Sanford Mainer Greg Hopkins

Greg is a freshman infielder at St. John's University. He is from Mansfield, MA and attended Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro. Greg is off to a great start in his college career, hitting .342 in 31 games, with 4 home runs and 26 rbi's. According to Assistant Coach Mike Hopkins, Greg is very athletic and can play any of the infield positions. He has been learning a lot from 2007 Sanford Mainer Jeff Grantham. Greg has been playing shortstop and third base this season for the 28-9 Red Storm. Another of Greg's coaches at St. John's is Scott Brown, the Manager of the Mainers during our first three seasons. Scott has continued to fill the pipeline to Sanford with winning ballplayers.
