2008 Sanford Mainer Scott Ferrera

Scott is a freshman outfielder at St. John's University.  He is from Farmingdale, NY and attended St. Anthony's High School in Huntington, NY where he had a great career.  According to St. John's Assistant Coach Mike Hopkins, Scott's best tool is his speed, with a 6.5 second time in the 60 yard dash.  Mike also said that Scott has great instincts in the outfield.  He is being mentored by 2007 Sanford Mainer Brian Kemp, who has continued his NECBL MVP play this season in college.  Scott is hitting .286, and led St. John's to a win over Pitt on Sunday April 20th with a home run and 3 rbi's.
